I've worked on immune and interferon signaling for years and STAT2 isn't activated by IFNg signaling. STAT2 and ISGF3 complex (STAT1:STAT2:IRF9) formation is unique to type I IFN signaling IFNa/b).  I've looked at the paper this pathway is based on and  I think they made a mistake.  STAT2 can be a transcriptional target of IFNG but is never a part of the signaling cascade.

I guess one of the biggest weaknesses of community derived pathway resources is that lack of evidence/provenance for each link between molecules in the signaling cascade.
