Though this is a neuroanatomical pathway, it does fit into the basic description of what WikiPathways is.  "WikiPathways is an open, public platform dedicated to the curation of biological pathways...".  Surely the basal ganglia encompasses an anatomical signaling pathway of interest to biologistts.  If WikiPathways should be restricted to biochemical signaling pathways, that should be indicated more clearly.  On the up side, this is a creative and potentially useful way to make additional use of the WikiPathways infrastructure.  I could imagine having a molecular pathways area and an anatomical pathways area.  Just my 2c.
