<p>This portal highlights WikiPathways content related to kidney biology. While most available pathways are inadequate for kidney research because they are based on human data, lack tissue/cell specificity or don’t distinguish between isozymes. To fill this gap, we created nephron segment-specific pathways. Crowd contributions by renal physiologist to further develop these pathways and to create similar ones would provide a powerful and freely-available tool to expand the renal genomics field.
