Thread:Great start (2)

Looks like you're off to a great start. I just wanted to add an example of a datanode. I clicked the 'Gene' button in the toolbar and then clicked on the screen to create a datanode. Then I double-clicked on the node to pull up a search interface. Searching for 'CDK' revealed the whole list of known CDK molecules. I selected CDK1 and the gene information was entered for me automatically. Now, with this gene selected, I can see properties and backpage info in the right panel and linkout in the Data Node section at the bottom of the pathway page. These database-connected nodes are useful for annotation, linkouts and computational analysis (and they look nice).
Let me know if you have any questions about this. See the Help page for tons of tutorials.
You may want to make the pathways 'private' until you're ready to publish and share them, or you can leave them open and accept the input of others while you are making it.
