Nicotine biosynthesis (Nicotiana tabacum)

Description
This pathway describes the biosynthesis of nicotine in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum). Nicotine is composed of a pyrrolidine and a pyridine ring, which are formed from amino acid precursors early in the pathway and are condensed in later steps.
