Description

This plant pathway represents the primary carbon metabolism in plants including Calvin cycle and Photosynthetic electron transport chain (chloroplast), Glycolysis (cytosol) and Krebs cycle (mitochondrion). The pathway was inspired from the book Plant Physiology (Third edition) by Taiz and Zeiger and by Bohler et al (Differential impact of chronic ozone exposure on expanding and fully expanded poplar leaves. Tree Physiol 2010, 30, (11), 1415-1432.) Figures 8 + 9.
