From WikiPathways
Your User Page
This page can be used to identify yourself at WikiPathways. It is linked to automatically wherever your name is used on the site to indicate authorship or a saved change. You are welcome to customize it however you like with text and links. We have prepared a template you can use to get started.
To reset your user page with the template all you have to do is:
- Go to your user page, click Edit
- Type {{subst:Template:UserPage | YourUserName}}, where "YourUserName" is your user name e.g., JohnSmith
- Click Save
- Now click Edit to fill-in the template with your information
- Feel free to delete or add new sections... It's your page!
Your Talk Page
This page can be used to communicate with other curators and users of WikiPathways within the same wiki interface. This makes it easy to reference pathways in discussions with colleagues with whom you might not be in email contact. You are welcome to use this page (or not) how ever you like. We have prepared a template you can use to get started.
To reset your user page with the template all you have to do is:
- Go to your user talk page, click Edit
- Type {{subst:Template:TalkPage | YourUserName}}, where "YourUserName" is your user name e.g., JohnSmith
- Click Save
- Other users can edit and add comments to this page so make sure it's on your watchlist
Account Preferences
Your preferences can be found here. One of the most important fields in your preferences is your email address. Please make sure this is accurate and up-to-date as it is critical to your interaction with the WikiPathways community. Here is how your email is used:
- If anyone makes changes to pathways you've created or added to your watchlist, you will be emailed by WikiPathways automatically.
- If anyone leaves a note for you on a discussion or talk page associated with your User Page or pathways, you will be emailed.
- If any edits you make require special moderation, correction or deletion, the admins of WikiPathways would use your email to contact you.
- If the admins of WikiPathways need to contact you, your email address is their only recourse.
You can update your email at any time and even adjust how your email is used on your preferences page.
