The task of connecting edges is a bit more onerous here with the multi-segment lines which are literally separate line segments to being with. One must replace the segments with a single edge connecting source and target nodes. Using 'elbow' lines can help preserve the original layout and control clutter. My method is basically to go top-to-bottom and trace individual edges for a given node, deleting all but the arrowhead line segment, then connecting the remaining arrowhead line segment to it's nodes, setting line type to 'elbow' and adjusting the elbow anchors.
I've completed the top 1/3 of the pathway approximately. You can use ctrl-L to view the remaing, unconnected edges. This will pathway will take ~4 hours to complete and verify.
