I've worked on immune and interferon signaling for years and STAT2 isn't activated by IFNg signaling. STAT2 and ISGF3 complex (STAT1:STAT2:IRF9) formation is unique to type I IFN signaling IFNa/b).  

I've looked at the paper this pathway is based on and I think they made a mistake. STAT2 can be a transcriptional target of IFNG but is never a part of the signaling cascade. I guess one of the biggest weaknesses of community derived pathway resources is that lack of evidence/provenance for each link between molecules in the signaling cascade.

Thank you for reviewing the pathway. You are correct that in this particular case, interactions are not annotated. WikiPathways supports two different ways of adding supporting information to interactions: As an annotated interaction from an interaction database, and by adding a literature reference directly to the interaction.

Since you have expert knowledge in the area of interferon signaling, I would highly recommend that you edit the pathway to correct any incorrect content. After logging in to WikiPathways, simply click "launch editor" under the pathway diagram.
