Hi Jordan,
Looks like you are testing out the drawing tools. Note that a key part of pathway modeling is capturing the genes, proteins and small molecules as Data Nodes. These are special boxes in the drawing tool that actually connect to database identifiers and allow programmatic data analysis to be performed on the content. See the Help pages for tutorials and guidelines.
