Description

This is a proccess of growth; it describes how the groth plate lengthens until the epypheseal plate closure happens. GH is released by the anterior pituitary gland thanks to the GRH. It activates IGF1 in muscles and bones, and this promotes growth of the growth plate. Also, GnRH in the hypothalamus stimulates LH and FSH in the anterior pituitary which stimulate gonads to produce sex hormones. In this case: estrogen by the females. Estrogen also promotes muscle and bone growth.
