Description
In plants, the 2-C-methyl-d-erythritol 4-phosphate (MEP) pathway located in the plastids provides precursors for the isoprenoid hormones, monoterpenes, carotenoids and chlorophyll side chains, prenylquinones and tocopherol biosynthesis.
