Current revision
The normal control of cell growth and division in cells is governed by careful control and release of growth-promoting signals, but in cancer cells this control is deregulated. Signaling through growth factors via the tyrosine kinase domains of cell-surface receptors, trigger progression through the cell cycle and other pathways.
